I ended up going for a long stroll today. I'm quite tired now. It was pretty out.





Is this a killdeer? I don't know my birds so well.


I'm not used to beach birds being so friendly. This guy was perfectly okay with me going all around him to get a picture with plenty of light.

What a score! :) Not a Killdeer--that is a Surfbird. They only winter here (well, from here to Chile) and nest in the Aleutians. I have only seen them once--at Discovery Park :)

Nice shots; I like the effect of the sun on the water when photographing into the sun. That second shot looks more like a b/w shot of a wheat field :)
