Yeah I did it!

One year at project365.org Now if you feel so inclined here is a post featuring the best from each month. Clicking on any image will link you to my project where you can see it larger if you'd like:

This month I was reading a book on black and white photography and did the whole month in monochrome.

March
Then I took a month where I did all my shots in my back ally to try to teach myself to look closer at the things around me to find a great photograph.

Same flower a week later...

A fun tribute to "Subterranean Homesick Blues" by Bob Dylan with my sister:

Date: 2014-10-13 01:38 pm (UTC)but yes, this is a standard view of a Seattle neighborhood. Lots of hills, and trees. You climb up one of those hills, and you get amazing vistas...if you can find a gap in the trees.

Date: 2014-10-19 10:48 pm (UTC)The door photo was fun. That door is the actual gate at my mother's apartment building. I opened the picture in GIMP and selected the part of the image inside of the door. There I over-saturated the colors and increased the contrast. Then I did an invert selection to select the everything in the image besides the part in the door and mostly desaturated it until it was almost black and white, and then added a bit of blur to make it look more drab.
That thing is what I call a "Skeeter Eater". I have no idea what it's real name is. They're big and clumsy, but are harmless.
Thanks for checking out my project.
